I found this post interesting, but most importantly, balanced as well. I say that because while these professionals own up to the downsides of their profession, they are also quick to say that their occupation enriches their lives and that they love to do. It is my opinion that a perfect dream job simply doesn't exist, but that if you are lucky enough to work at something you love or have passion for, you are among the lucky few. There is no better example of this than the job of parenting. For me, my job as a parent (and it is a job) is the most fulfilling job I will ever have, one that enriches my life beyond words. Some might say it's a dream job. Yet it too comes with bad days, frustrations, long hours, little vacation time... well, you get my point. Dream job is an oxymoron. But, if you are fortunate enough to have a job for which you have passion and love for, well than you have hit the jackpot.
