New data on women and the workforce

The New York Times ran an interesting story today that was based on recent Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
For most of the last half century, since the 1960s, the ranks of women in the workplace continued to increase. (The number of men in the workplace consistently shrank.)
But this decade, the number of women in the workplace also shrank. The article explores several possible reasons why.
