August is here. Summer is coming to a close, even though it seemed to just get here a few weeks ago. Students are returning to school (and relieved parents are happy to have some quiet time again). Summer or not, job hunts don’t stop. With that in mind, we want to give you more direction for your job search.
On Tuesday we finished our spotlight of regions hiring in the country. Today I present a list of companies hiring employees right now throughout the country. Right now. Literally. Go on, find the right match for you.

About Anthony Balderrama
Anthony Balderrama writes about hiring trends, workplace issues and job search tactics for CareerBuilder.com and its blog The Work Buzz. He was born and raised in Dallas (115° degrees isn’t hot!) before moving to Chicago (-23° isn’t cold!). He studied creative writing, therefore everything he writes is usually cut in half once he realizes he spent 400 words just on the intro. He knows that looking for a job and dealing with co-workers are not always fun activities, and reading about them is even less thrilling. That’s why he’ll take any opportunity he can to mention his favorite TV show or band in an article. Basically Anthony’s doing whatever he can to avoid hate mail.Great list, Anthony! :-) Sorry I didn't see this till today, but I will be sharing it for sure on #HireFriday!
Karen, The Resume Chick (on Google or Twitter for questions, comments, or violent reactions)
The US Border Patrol is hiring. You can expect to make at least 70K in your first year, tack on another 7K if you have a college degree.
Everyone I looked at required either a 2 or 4 year degree. So why does it say no degree required? Just more false hope lovely!
In your article, the best paying jobs without a degree, you left out car salesman. I have been doing this for 10 years, and my worst year I made 55,000. This year I'm on track for 85,000. I'm not a manager, and I sell Dodge cars and trucks, not necessarily the IN Brand.
Did you really write the article "20 Jobs that pay big without a degree"? I would like to know where you got your information from. I have been a Career Services Director for more that 10 years and I know that some of the jobs you list not only require degrees but also certifications.
