I am an IT Project Manager and contracting W-2 over the past 12 years because it is very lucrative. I recently found a company doing some creative accounting in my budget management of a project. I was soon after told the program lost 2012 funding. And now for the very first time in my search for the next contract, I think my old manager is giving a poor referral. How can I find out what the real content of a past employers (contracted in my case) referral is?
