As everyone knows, Twitter is the latest in social networking phenomena.
Although it’s been around for about three years, it seems that Twitter just recently started to take off. A February 2009 Compete.com blog entry ranks Twitter as the third largest social network, behind MySpace and Facebook. The entry puts the number of users at roughly 6 million and the number of monthly visitors at 55 million. Now, people and businesses alike — from John Mayer and Ellen DeGeneres to The Today Show and CNN — are sending “tweets,” otherwise known as updates, to the Twitter accounts to let people know what’s going on, either with them or in the world.
The Work Buzz has decided to jump on the Twitter bandwagon. We’ve created an account to provide all of our tweeting job seekers with up-to-the-minute (or hour) job advice, the news and whatever else we think of! You can follow us by clicking here.
