What Was Your Most Unusual Summer Job?

This morning, one of my co-workers sent me an article about a charity auction for a two- to three-month internship this summer at the Huffington Post.

The internship opportunity, which has collected bids as high as $13,000, calls for interns to “jumpstart your career in the blogsphere with an eye-opening internship at The Huffington Post in New York or Washington.” The highest bidder will win the internship and the proceeds will go to the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights.

Personally, I think this a strange idea but it’s for a good cause, so more power to the Huffington Post and an early congratulations to whomever wins.

While my mind was in the “strange and unusual” category after reading that, I remembered our summer hiring forecast, which we shared with you on Tuesday. No, our forecast isn’t strange and unusual in total, but I did leave a little section of the survey out of my blog post…one that was strange indeed.
